Evil Overlord Games is definitely not a conspiracy of Boston area geeks, drawn together into dark magics from the gaming, live-action role-playing, engineering, theatrical, and literary worlds. We were founded in 2016 with a mission to bring the high-level writing and narrative depth of the LARP community into the story-driven video game world. Our goal is to provide emotional resonance, moral complexity, and meaningful player interaction in exciting and dynamic gameplay environments.

Using a novel game engine developed by our small team of sleepless MIT mathematicians, our games will take note of every choice a player makes along the path of the story, and use those choices to change and shape the game world. With writing from top players in the interactive fiction and live-action roleplaying realms, and art led by a veteran illustrator in the horror and fantasy corners of graphic novels, literature, film, and music, our games promise rich and immersive journeys through evolving, player-driven worlds.
